Begin your journey through history with a visit to the legendary Battlefield of Thermopylae, where King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans made their heroic last stand against the vast Persian army in 480 BC. This epic battle, a symbol of courage and sacrifice, took place at the narrow pass of Thermopylae, where a small but determined force of Greek warriors held off the invaders against impossible odds. As you stand before the monument of Leonidas, you’ll feel the weight of history in this sacred place where bravery became legend.
Just a short drive away, we arrive at the Thermopylae Hot Springs, a natural wonder steeped in mythology. According to legend, the god Hephaestus created these thermal springs at the request of Athena, so that Hercules could bathe in their waters and regain his strength after his heroic labors. The mineral-rich waters, naturally heated to 33-35°C, create stunning cascading waterfalls, attracting visitors who seek both relaxation and breathtaking scenery.

Our journey continues to one of Greece’s most awe-inspiring destinations, Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. This majestic rock formation is home to an extraordinary complex of Byzantine monasteries, perched atop towering sandstone pillars that rise dramatically from the valley below. Originally founded by monks seeking solitude and spiritual enlightenment, Meteora is second in importance only to Mount Athos in the Orthodox world. The first monastery, The Great Meteoron, was built by Saint Athanasius, who fled from Mount Athos to escape his persecutors. Today, six monasteries remain active, five housing monks and one hosting nuns.
When visiting the monasteries, a dress code is required: women must cover their shoulders and wear long skirts, while men are not permitted to wear shorts. Don’t worry if you forget, skirts and scarves are available for free at each entrance. During our tour, we will visit two to three monasteries, tailored to your preferences, and make several photo stops to capture the breathtaking scenery. Before returning, we’ll explore the charming town of Kalampaka, where you can enjoy a delicious traditional Greek lunch with a view of the towering Meteora cliffs. This tour offers a perfect blend of history, mythology, and natural beauty, book now for an unforgettable experience in the heart of Greece!
